Welcome to Edo Union Netherlands. By accessing or participating in our organization, website, events, and programs, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. About Us

Edo Union Netherlands is a legally registered, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious community organization for Edo State indigenes living in the Netherlands. We are registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and operate under Dutch law.


2. Membership Eligibility & Responsibilities

  • Membership is open to persons of Edo origin residing in the Netherlands.

  • Members must complete a 6-month probation period before gaining full membership status.

  • Full benefits are accessible after 1 year of active financial and moral commitment.

  • Members agree to abide by the Union’s constitution, attend meetings regularly, and pay dues as required.

  • Members must maintain respectful behavior and uphold the values of unity, cultural pride, and mutual support.


3. Use of Website and Communication Channels

By accessing our website or social platforms, you agree to:

  • Use the platform lawfully and respectfully.

  • Not distribute harmful, misleading, or offensive content.

  • Not impersonate any Union member or executive.

  • Not misuse members’ contact information shared for official purposes.

We reserve the right to remove or block access to anyone who violates these conditions.


4. Events and Media Consent

  • By attending Edo Union events, you consent to being photographed or recorded unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

  • These media may be used for newsletters, social media, or promotional content.

  • We will never tag, name, or share personal contact details without your permission.


5. Benefits Policy

Members are entitled to specific support services including:

  • Bereavement support

  • Marriage and childbirth tokens

  • Hospital visitations

  • Cultural celebrations

These benefits are subject to eligibility criteria, including attendance, dues payment, and active participation. Edo Union Netherlands reserves the right to verify and approve each benefit claim.


6. Limitation of Liability

Edo Union Netherlands is not liable for:

  • Personal disputes between members

  • Loss or damage of personal property during events

  • Injuries sustained while attending events (unless caused by gross negligence on the part of the Union)

All activities are participated in at your own risk.


7. Amendments

These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. Members will be informed of changes through our website, general meetings, or official WhatsApp group. Continued participation implies acceptance of the revised terms.


8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved amicably or through appropriate Dutch legal channels if necessary.
